Burbank California's Public Library Celebrates 100 Years With Awesome New Library Cards

Red 14 Films is a company founded with the sole purpose of creating exposure for books on the internet, and thus promoting reading. That's why we love to see new ideas that promote literacy by showing how fun reading can be.

The City of Burbank, California, just over the hill from Red 14's Offices, has decided to mark the 100 year anniversary of their public library by creating a bunch of fun new library cards featuring characters from beloved children's shows and images from the city's past.

Our personal favorite is the Adventure Time library card that shows the stars of the cartoon, Finn and Jake, curling up with some good books.

Josh at Red 14 just got this great Adventure Time library card

Other new library card choices are some of the characters from Regular Show, Dora The Explorer, and a custom-made library card illustration by multiple award winning children's author David Shannon.

Be sure to check out the full catalogue below, and if you're a Burbank resident without a library card head on over to their site to fix that problem right now: Burbank Public Library
